      Reviews & Endorsements:

'a sumptuously illustrated, powerful poem with a repeated refrain (“he opens a tunnel / of bubbles and light and / swim, Shark, SWIM!”). It circumnavigates the globe, brushing fins with various shark species and conveying the dangerous beauty of their lives.' Imogen Russell Williams, The Guardian

'Swim, Shark, Swim! is a book I would recommend for all ages in a primary school. It is the best kind of literature having a glorious combination of words and pictures which cast a spell over the reader.' Just Imagine

'In this thrilling underwater odyssey, Conlon's richly-textured playful prose once again intertwines so exquisitely with Izlesou's sumptuous images. In a word? BUY!' - James Carter, children's poet/ non-fiction writer/ educationalist

'It is incredibly important for young learners to appreciate the beauty of our oceans from an early age. That is why it is great to see books such as Swim, Shark, Swim!, with its fascinating story of the journey of a black tip shark as it travels around the world, meeting other sharks and marine creatures along the way. The illustrations are colourful and really bring the pages to life. Hopefully young readers and their families will be inspired to find out more and how to support ocean conservation and awareness raising efforts in the UK and abroad, after being inspired by reading this book.' Susannah Rodgers MBE, Ocean Ambassador (Marine Conservation Society UK).

'It is a joy to read aloud, lyrical and flowing, and sure to excite the imagination. The blacktip reef shark encounters many other species on its journey offering a fascinating glimpse of some of the different types of shark and their habitats. A little more information is included about each at the end of the book along with other things it encounters, making the perfect starting point for further investigation. [...] Perfect for reading aloud, ‘Swim, Shark, Swim!’ would make a wonderful addition to any bookshelf.' North Somerset Teacher's Book Award (click here to read full review)
