What's New in September with Graffeg

September is a notoriously busy month for all. We're sending the kids back to school, clocking back into office, consuming copious amounts of coffee, some of you early birds might even be preparing for – dare we say it – Christmas! As usual we've got plenty going on over here at the Graffeg offices to keep us busy, but this month we thought we'd share with you what exactly we're doing. For those of you interested in what goes on behind our screens, Alexa, Bethan and Hannah are here to update you. Consider this your monthly catch-up with the gang!

September Titles:

by Bethan Blake-Abed-Ali, Marketing Executive

As usual we've got a variation of books hitting your shelves this month. Whether you're into fiction, art, or looking for a book to read with your young ones – look no further! Our upcoming September titles have got you covered.

The Journey by Maggie Ogunbanwo and Last Resort by Richard Willams are being published as a part of the Quick Reads scheme. One of the main aims of the Quick Reads series if to encourage readers who are less confident in their reading abilities to pick up a short, fast-paced book that they can buy for just £1 – a small investment with a big reward. The initiative is coordinated in Wales by the Books Council of Wales and supported by Welsh Government.

Harry Holland: Drawings is the first book dedicated to the drawings of the celebrated figurative artist, Harry Holland. The volume is a collection of Harry's drawings throughout his lengthy career, many of which are appearing in print for the first time. This volume is a unique insight into the works of Harry Holland, including a substantial introduction and essay. The scale of this title make it a desirable collectors' item or a memorable gift, as well as a valuable source of reference and inspiration for art students, educational institutions and galleries. Harry Holland: Drawings is the perfect surprise for all of your artistic friends!

Thats How Much I Love You is Graffeg's second board book for children between the ages 0-3. We are thrilled that parents will be able to share some of our most popular characters with younger readers. This gentle story is the perfect bed time read that introduces young readers to rhyme through a short story about the love between a parent or carer and their child. Our first board book, Albert and his Friends by Ian Brown and Eoin Clarke, was published in September. The next and final board book by Graffeg in 2023 will be Fletcher and the Seasons, which will be available to buy from your local bookshops in late October.
