Fred and the Fantastic Tub Tub at the London Literature Festival
Classic FM broadcaster and author Zeb Soanes joins Orpheus Sinfonia for the première of Fred and the Fantastic Tub-Tub as part of the London Literature Festival.
A magical and musical adventure, Fred and the Fantastic Tub-Tub by Gaspard the Fox series author Zeb Soanes is a beautifully illustrated picture book for ages 7-9. In the story we follow as she travels with her grandpa to the fictional island of Papa-Nupi, where together they search for the musical plant, the Tub-Tub.
The idea behind the book was born from talks between Zeb and composer James Marangone. James wanted to create an inclusive narrated adventure that inspired children to explore sound regardless of their musical ability, and the story was written to go alongside the music as a fast-paced and enjoyable adventure with clear 'audio clues' that children can listen out for in the text. Accompanied by Anja Uhren's fantastic illustrations, this is a story told through three artforms: illustration, music and writing.
The orchestral performance is now being premiered by Orpheus Sinfonia as part of London Literature Festival. The performance is taking place 22 October 2023 at 12:00 at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in the Southbank Centre, London. Tickets are £12 and can be bought using the link below.
