  • Join Graffeg books at Cardiff University to celebrate the publication of Drawing Futures by Barbara Adam and Seth Oliver.

In this ground-breaking dialogue between word and image, the authors invite readers to rethink how we experience time, imagine the future and recognise our shared responsibility for what is yet to come.

As the world faces deep ecological, social and political transformations, Drawing Futures speaks directly to our moment. It calls for a renewal of imagination and responsibility, reminding us that every action today carries echoes into tomorrow.

Through its synthesis of thought and aesthetics, it transforms abstract concepts into living experience, making time visible, tangible and profoundly human.

“The author’s thought-provoking meditations on time and futures demand to be read. Through visual poetry and art, they amplify not just the words, but our ability to use both sides of our brain to open our minds to new possibilities.” Jane Davidson, author of #futuregen: Lessons from a Small Country

This unmissable event will include readings by the author, a short film highlighting the artist’s works and the making process behind them, a filmed performance by Jên Angharad responding to the exhibition work, with music by Rowan B. Talbot and talks by Elen Stokes and Matthew Collings.

There will also be an accompanying exhibition of Seth Oliver’s works in the same venue to enjoy before the date of the event.

With such an inspiring line-up, the evening is sure to provide thoughtful discussion. Books will be on sale for the special price of £25 for one night only.
