About the Author / Illustrator

Jane Matthews lives in Shetland, where she works as an illustrator, artist and creative project manager. She grew up in Bristol and, after studying Fine Art, worked in the film and TV industry as a scenic artist and prop maker in London, before moving to the remote Welsh Island of Skomer, where she wrote Skomer, Portrait of an Island. Jane has illustrated Horatio’s books for children as well as Brecon Beacons Myths & Legends and Pembrokeshire and Gwynedd Myths & Legends.
