Helen Docherty is the author of many much-loved rhyming picture books, including The Snatchabook, The Knight Who Wouldn’t Fight and Someone Just Like You. Her books have been translated into 27 languages and adapted for the stage in the UK, Germany and Canada. Helen often collaborates with her husband, the illustrator and author Thomas Docherty. Their latest book together, Superwolf, has been shortlisted for the BookTrust Storytime Prize 2026. Helen lives and works in Swansea. She loves visiting schools and helping children write their own stories.
