As Fletcher looks up at the night sky, the stars flicker out, one by one. Soon, instead of a starry sparkle, there is... nothing! Fletcher sets out to help the stars shine again, but as he and Badger race through the winter woods, they find it’s not easy to reach the stars... and help can come from unexpected places.

Join Fletcher and his friends as they reach for the sky in this sparkling story of friendship and discovery.

    Reviews:

'A beautiful; bedtime story with a surprise sparkly ending!' Raring 2 Go

'We’ve read a few books from the Fletcher collection but this one’s my favourite. It’s perfect for our bedtime story on this cosy autumn evening.' Posies Book Club

'Tiphanie Beeke’s gorgeous illustrations, glow even brighter than ever in this story as they evoke so well the icy winter’s night and the feelings of the animal friends. What a perfect match for Julia Rawlinson’s equally evocative, poetic text. Snuggle up and share this with young children at home or in school.' Jill R Bennett, Red Reading Hub

'Little readers will adore Fletcher and his heartwarming adventures in nature. Each book in the series can be read independently, but you’ll probably fall in love with Fletcher and want to read them all!' Little Library Owl

'This was a lovely light hearted book to enjoy at nighttime when curling up to go to bed. Edith (5) really enjoyed the lovely pictures that worked very well alongside the story and the little surprise on the last page was a lovely ending to a beautiful heart warming story.' Edith & Mum, Books Up North

'This is a beautiful beautiful book. A sparkling story of friendship and discovery. I think it might just be my favourite Fletcher yet.' EdSpire

'Fletcher, a well-meaning but naïve young fox, is not frightened by the night, he is in awe of it. His mission to help the stars immerses him in the sights, sounds, and sensations of the magical, night-time woodland. The soft, uncomplicated illustrations help us to share his journey and experience that sense of wonder.

The words which tell his story are carefully chosen; poetic, descriptive passages are balanced with friendly, reassuring conversations between Fletcher and a badger cub who is not so confident about being out in the dark. Through this adventure he overcomes his worries.’ Annie Pattison, The School Librarian

'As children become aware of the changing seasons and weather conditions, Fletcher and the Stars would be a valuable picture book to help with discussing these changes and as a lead to encouraging children to observe their local environment more closely.' Anne Cowling, Just Imagine

'The perfect story to read with children as the nights are getting colder.' Strawberry Post

'Mini Sloan loved the uplifting story about Fletcher helping Badger combat his fear of the dark which also provided the perfect opportunity to have a conversation about fears and ways to overcome them.' SLOAN magazine

'This is a beautiful, gentle bedtime story.' Milo and Gigi's Bookshelf

'With stunning artwork, and focusing on the power of friendship in the process of discovering the world, this is the story of how Fletcher, the Badger and their friends try to help the stars shine again, but reaching the stars isn’t easy.' The Kids Bookstagrammer

'A lovely story about friendship, determination and overcoming obstacles in order to enjoy the stars. A heartwarming book to share at bedtime.' Sophie Says Aloud
