Graffeg Saves 15,000 books!
October was an exceptionally busy month for Graffeg, as we stepped in to rescue 15,000 of Jackie Morris’ titles from being pulped when her publisher, Unbound, went into administration.
Having worked with Jackie for many years, it was inconceivable to us that any of her beautiful work might be lost. We quickly arranged and funded the delivery, and our Llanelli team unloaded 15,000 books from 14 pallets. We’re pleased to say that Jackie Morris’ books are now safely stored and ready to find their new homes.

One of our most loved — and by now familiar — characters has finally got his own Christmas book. But this one comes with a twist! Tortoises aren’t just for Christmas, and neither is this book. Its unique design means it can be enjoyed all year round.
Albert the tortoise has never experienced Christmas. He’s always asleep for the winter. When he dreams of festive fun, his garden friends decide to create a special summer ‘not Christmas’ for all to enjoy. The gang get busy making a not very traditional Christmas tree, decorations, gifts, greetings – and even snow. All doesn’t go to plan. Can they pull it off?
It’s set to be a Not Christmas to remember as they discover absence really does make the heart grow fonder. Also inside are fun facts about real Albert, who inspires these stories, and his garden chums.

Author Ian Brown — like his Christmas book — is available for events all year round. Ian can do small events at bookshops, or larger events at schools and festivals. His appearances combine humour, fascinating facts, and plenty of fun.
