Dom and Anastasia have once again excelled in their story-telling capabilities, with Anastasia's illustrations bringing Dom's poetic words to life. When asked about the collaboration, Anastasia tells us 'During the illustrating process I took so much direct inspiration from Dom’s language that it’s now inseparable from the illustrations, at least in my mind...Dom’s texts keep challenging and pushing my illustration in the ways I wouldn’t expect, and although a series, each Wild Wanderers book has its own individuality.'

It was award-winning author Nicola Davies who introduced us to the wonderful poetry of Dom Conlon after she came across a poem about foxes on his website. From there, we paired him with the extraordinary illustrations of Anastasia Izlesou and that’s where Wild Wanderers was born.

On poetry, Dom says ''Poetry is a great way to connect us all. It helps us to get a bit of insight in a way that we feel as well as see."
