This week is Work in Publishing Week! To celebrate, we had a quick chat with our Publishing Director, Matthew Howard, about his experiences in Publishing and to offer some advice to those looking to start their journey in the industry.
Cadno are pleased to announce their first YA novel, written by Emma Bettridge. The Ranch at the End of the World is a romantic adventure story featuring an LGBTQ+ character from an author who is also part of the community. This will be Emma’s first YA novel, published by Cadno, a Graffeg imprint, with the financial support of the Books Council of Wales. Emma has previously published two picture books with Graffeg, Goodbye Hobbs and Red is Home.
This month at the Graffeg offices we're celebrating Non-fiction November! Non-fiction November was created by the Federation of Children's Book Groups as a way to highlight the importance of information books and to promote reading non-fiction for pleasure.

We are thrilled to announce that two of our children's titles, Choose Love and April's Garden, have been nominated for YOTO Carnegie Medals 2024.
The Yoto Carnegies are the UK’s longest running and best-loved children’s book awards, recognising outstanding reading experiences created through writing and illustration in books for children and young people. The Yoto Carnegie Medals are awarded by children’s librarians for outstanding books written in English for children and young people, both in terms of writing and illustration.
Watch Them Growby James Carter, publishing June 2024, is the first in a three-book series and will look at different lifecycles in nature. This will be followed byWay to Go which explores different migrations, and lastly Who Are We? which is a look into animal diversity.
